This is an old city with serious atmosphere and tiny, tiny cobbled streets. Go have a meter of beer deep in the old city and then, only then go swiiming on the jam packed beach of ocean polished stones. As you walk barefoot to the waters edge to then frolick in the waves as the smack you against the reflective rocks, you will be glad you had a meter of beer! Take the train...a car is just a major headache.

The French Riviera is amazing. A slower pace than Paris, but still a large city to explore made Nice a great place to visit. I loved the ocean views, and had a nice seafood meal on the beach. Vieux Nice is fun to wander through with a scoop of lavender gelato.
